Jonas starts work on eleventh season of Degrassi and indie film The Samaritan

Jonas Chernick, this week, resumed his role as Science teacher Michael Betenkamp on the hit Much Music / Teen Nick series Degrassi and also joined the cast of the indie film noir The Samaritan where he will appear alongside Samuel L. Jackson and will endure a violent on-camera death at the hands of two-time Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson. Degrassi's eleventh season premieres later in 2011, while The Samaritan will see a theatrical release in late 2011 or 2012.
