My Awkward Sexual Adventure and Blood Pressure both to screen at Whistler

The Whistler Film Festival announced today that both 2012 collaborations by director Sean Garrity and actor Jonas Chernick will screen at this year's festival, and that both will compete for the coveted Borsos Award for Best Canadian Feature. The award comes with a $15,000 cash prize. Only six films are selected every year to compete for the award at Whistler, and Festival Director of Programming Paul Gratton has controversially given two of the slots to the same actor-director team. My Awkward Sexual Adventure, written by, produced by and starring Jonas Chernick, was deemed by Gratton as "undoubtedly the funniest Canadian sex comedy ever made", in the festival's press announcement released today. Both Chernick and Garrity are expected to appear at the festival, which runs November 28 - December 2, 2012 in Whistler, British Columbia.
