Jonas Chernick nominated for 2013 ACTRA Award for Outstanding Male Performance for My Awkward Sexual Adventure

ACTRA Toronto announced the nominations for their annual awards today, which included a nod to Jonas Chernick for his portrayal of Jordan Abrams in the comedy feature film My Awkward Sexual Adventure. Chernick is up against four dramatic performances; Shawn Doyle for The Disappeared, Enrico Colantoni for Flashpoint, Rossif Sutherland for Flashpoint, and Luke Kirby for The Samaritan, which also features Chernick in a small role. This is Chernick's second ACTRA Award nomination - he was nominated in 2009 for his work on the CBC series The Border, for which he won a Gemini Award. My Awkward Sexual Adventure was recently named as one of TIFF's Top Ten Films of 2012, and will be released by Tribeca Film in the USA and by Phase 4 Films in Canada in spring 2013. The ACTRA Awards will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at The Carlu in downtown Toronto.
