Jonas nominated for a 2008 Gemini Award for his work on The Border
Announced yesterday, The Border has received 10 nominations at the 2008 Gemini Awards, recognizing Canada's highest achievement in Television. The show was nominated for Best Drama Series, Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role (James McGowan), Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series (Catherine Disher), Best Direction in a Dramatic Series (John Fawcett) and... Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series for Jonas Chernick as Agent Heironymous Slade. His award will be handed out during a non-televised Gala event on October 22, 2008. The award for Best Drama Series will be announced on the televised Gemini Awards telecast on November 28, 2008. This is Jonas's first Gemini nomination.
