Borealis named Opening Night Film at 19th annual Brooklyn Film Festival

Borealis, written by, produced by, and starring Jonas Chernick, has been announced as the Opening Night Film of the 19th annual Brooklyn Film Festival, kicking off on June 3, 2016. The Brooklyn screening will be the US premiere for the film, which has recently picked up a slew of awards on the Canadian festival circuit, including Best Director and Best Actress at Toronto's Canadian Film Festival, and a Special Jury Award Mention for Best Actress at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Borealis also stars Joey King, Kevin Pollak and Emily Hampshire, all of whom will be in attendance in Brooklyn for the festival.
