The Burning Season's Chernick nominated for Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award

Jonas Chernick has been nominated for a Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for his performance in The Burning Season, in the Best Male Supporting Actor category. Chernick plays the role of "JB" in the film, which he also co-wrote with Diana Frances, and produced alongside Andrew Bronfman. The film had its world premiere at the 2023 Whistler Film Festival, where it was given the award for Best Screenplay for Chernick and Frances's original script. The Burning Season will continue its festival run through the spring, when it will have a Canadian theatrical release courtesy of Northern Banner Releasing. Further festival dates and international sales will be announced soon.
